How to fix the top of the Dolphins organization
Shortly after the 2012 season ended, the Dolphins and Dan Marino talked informally about the possibility of the Hall of Fame quarterback one day joining the organization in some undetermined capacity. Marino, who works for CBS Sports, did not pursue the opportunity but the door was left open to the possibility.
Today I also reported in my column Dolphins owner Stephen Ross tried to hire former Colts and Buccaneers coach Tony Dungy in an advisory capacity.
But the Dolphins, in full retreat on the field with five losses in six games and fielding more letters and calls from angry fans than they can answer, need to be more aggressive with Dungy. I believe the Dolphins should chase Dungy as their top executive help turn this hapless organization around.
I not advocating should be hired as the head coach.
Let me repeat: I don Dungy as the coach. Even Dungy doesn want Dungy as the head coach.
I want Dungy as the face of the franchise to pick a new coach (check his record on finding coaching talent) or making a career decision on the current one. I want Dungy leading an organiazation that clearly lacks leadership. I want him hiring a general manager, if indeed Ross is of the mind to go in another direction there.
I want him setting the culture. I want him bringing respect back to the Dolphins. I want a football man who has come up throught the football ranks heading the football team.
Let face it, Stephen Ross is not a football man. He is a wonderful business man and real estate developer. But that not qualify him as a football man. Dolphins president and CEO Tom Garfinkel is likely a fine corporate officer. He comes from a baseball background. But he is not a football man.
I don want either of them picking the next Dolphins coach or GM if that is the direction the Dolphins are going. I don even see them as qualified to the fate of the current Dolphins coach and GM. Seriously, what does Ross or wholesale jerseys Garfinkel know? Anyone looking at Ross track record would question that. Anyone looking at Garfinkel inexperience would question that.
Anyone who would be comfortable with that is apparently quite comfortable with the past four seasons Dolphins history.
It makes you wonder if Martin was really suffering at all. A lot of people had to miss a lot of things for Martin allegations too be true. I think that TIME and the EVIDENCE will show that Martin has attempted to perpetrate a gigantic fraud against the Phins, The NFL and most of all, us Loyal Dolphin Fans. I really starting to believe that most, if not all of this, was done because Martin was replaced by McKinnie and he saw all those Big Left Tackle Dollars going out the window.
What we have here is a True Schmuck. There should be some way to have Martin charged with some criminal offenses.
A disconnect? There another alternative Armando. One that those in the press and media missed as they scurried about to quickly jumped on the Dolphin and Richie Incognito. Excuse me, I digress. The other alternative is that it just didn happen. Simple as that.
Martin saw the writing on the wall and he needed an out. The spoiled little rich Kid did what he had to do, Friends, coaches and Teammates be Damned!
Martin, along with the help of the press, attempted to perpetrate a gigantic fraud here. Now, as we have time to reflect upon the evidence that starting to leak out, now we will see. Martin will be exposed for just exactly what he is!
Martin should be waived immediately(probably brought up on criminal charges if any can be applicable)and Cog reinstated, totally exonerated(maybe reprimanded for the use of bad language!)and paid all the monies he owed.
So, Ross gets a completely new Coaching Staff and starts anew. Now, should he or should he not have axed the last remaining remnants of Parcell reign of terror(Ireland).?
I don know. Initially, I was all for firing Ireland. Then, I had somewhat of a change of Heart. But I have to admit, during this "Sideshow" and after losing 4 out of 5, the thoughts are creeping back in.
I don like to lose as much as the next guy, but C Now we gotten to the point that here in Miami, we only give Coaches ONE SEASON before we pull the plug.
Go ahead with these types of Knee Jerk strategies. But, besides just being ridiculous, besides the obvious reasons, what kind of Head Coach is going to sign Wholesale Jerseys with a Franchise that only gives him a season, a season and a half at best?
I answer that for you Armando(and others), Not Cheap Jerseys many, not any Good Ones and ONLY the types that are TOTALLY DESPERATE for a JOB.
In summation: OMFG Cheap Hats ROTFLMFAO!!!!
Janie Martin PMS doesn even qualify Cheap Basketball Jerseys when it comes to the GM or Head Coach in my opinion. It all about the wins and losses as far as I concerned. I would give them both a bad mark, Ireland a little more for having drafted him.
But let Wholesale Snapbacks be HONEST, who knew SHE was going to go into menopausal Hissy Fits when she got replaced by McKinnie?
If this ship gets "Righted" and Philbin pulls them together enough for a strong finish, I would hate to lose him as a Head Coach. If not, two seasons starting with a Rookie QB, New Offense, New Defense, Blah, blah, blah, is hardly enough to properly evaluate him as a Head Coach.

Attorney for Jonathan Martin says tackle endured harassment from Dolphins teammates
FILE In this July 22, 2013, file photo, Miami Dolphins tackle Jonathan Martin in interviewed after an NFL football practice in Davie, Fla. In Eddie Lacy Womens Jersey the stadium program sold at the Miami Dolphins' game on Halloween, Richie Incognito was asked who's the easiest teammate to scare. His answer: Jonathan Martin. The troubled, troubling relationship between the two offensive linemen took an ominous turn Monday, Nov. 4, 2013, with fresh revelations: Incognito sent text messages to his teammate that were racist and threatening, two people familiar with the situation said.(AP Photo/Lynne Sladky, File)The Associated Press
DAVIE, Fla. Jonathan Martin's new attorney says harassment of the Miami Dolphins tackle came from more than one teammate.
The abuse went far beyond the traditional locker room hazing, including a malicious physical attack and daily vulgar comments, attorney David Cornwell said Thursday. He was hired this week to represent Martin, who left the Dolphins last week.
His agent then complained to the Dolphins that Martin had been harassed, and they suspended guard Richie Incognito.
The NFL Eddie Lacy Jersey is investigating whether Incognito harassed or bullied Martin, and whether their teammates and the organization mishandled the matter.
Cornwell is a lawyer who has represented the NFL and several prominent players, including Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. He also was a candidate in 2009 to become executive director of the NFLPA, a job that went to www.packersnflofficial.com/Nike-Clay-Matthews-Jersey.html DeMaurice Smith.
Cornwell's statement alleges an unidentified Dolphins player threatened Martin's sister in vulgar fashion. The attorney said the facts "are not in dispute."
"For the entire season and a half that he was with the Dolphins, he attempted to befriend the same teammates who subjected him to the abuse with the hope that doing so would end the harassment," the statement said. "This is a textbook reaction of victims of bullying. Despite these efforts, the taunting continued. .
"Eventually, Jonathan made a difficult choice. Despite his love for football, Jonathan left the Dolphins. Jonathan looks forward to getting back to playing football. In the meantime, he will cooperate fully with the NFL investigation."
The Dolphins and Incognito's agent didn't respond to requests for comment on Cornwell's statement.
Some say Martin, a Stanford graduate who went about his business quietly, handled the situation well. But pro football is a macho world, and some players believe Martin should have responded more firmly.
"Is Incognito wrong? Absolutely. He's 100 percent wrong," New York Giants safety Antrel Rolle said. "No individual should have to go through that, especially in their workplace.
"But at the same time, Jonathan Martin is http://www.packersnflofficial.com/Nike-Tramon-Williams-Jersey.html a 6 4, 320 pound man. I mean, at some point and time you need to stand your ground as an individual. Am I saying go attack, go fight him? No. I think we all understand we can stand our ground without anything being physical.""Jonathan Martin's toughness is not at issue," Cornwell said. "The issue is Jonathan's treatment by his teammates."
The Dolphins (4 4) will play for the first time since the scandal broke Monday night at Tampa Bay (0 8). At least 75 reporters and cameramen tracking the case were in the locker room after Thursday's practice, but receiver Brian Hartline said the scrutiny won't prevent the team from playing well.
"It almost heightens your awareness," he said. "You know it's going to take away from your focus, so it does the exact opposite. You overcompensate to make sure you stay aware of the game."
Dolphins players have robustly defended Incognito, long considered among the NFL's dirtiest players. He's now a notorious national villain, but teammates praise his leadership and loyalty. They've been less passionate in their support of Martin, saying he and Incognito behaved like best friends.
Martin is with his family in California to undergo counseling for emotional issues. A senior partner in a New York law firm was appointed by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell to investigate possible misconduct and prepare a report.
While Martin has been a starter since the first game of his rookie season, he developed a reputation in the NFL for lacking toughness. Randall Cobb Womens Jersey That impression might have been reinforced by the way he handled his issues with Incognito, current and former teammates acknowledge.
"A lot of people might look at Jonathan Martin and think that he's soft because he stepped away from the game, and say, 'Why don't you just fight him?'" said Seattle Seahawks receiver Doug Baldwin, who played with Martin at Stanford. "Well, if you look at it with common sense and being logical, what options did Jonathan Martin have?
"He could fight Richie Incognito. He could go Randall Cobb Jersey and tell on the players, which we know in the football locker room doesn't go over too well. Or he could remove himself from the situation and let the proper channels take care of itself. And I think he made the intelligent, smart choice without putting himself or Richie Incognito's physical abilities in danger.".
